How to Perform BitLocker Recovery
Sometimes, a user may get locked out of their computer and will encounter the screen shown below. This can happen for multiple reasons, the most common being the user entering their BitLocker PIN incorrectly too many times.
If they are stuck at this screen, their computer is unusable until they enter the recovery key. The following steps in this article show how to access that key.

How to get the user back into their PC:
1. Navigate to Microsoft Entra admin center. Under the "Devices" tab on the left, select "All devices". In the search bar that appears, type in the name of the user's PC, and click on it. This will lead you to the PC's "Properties" page.

2. On the left side of the "Properties" page, select "BitLocker keys (Preview)".

3. Look for the key with the most recent date under "Backed up". Click "Show Recovery Key" under "BitLocker recovery key".

4. A new pane will appear to the right titled "Recovery Key (Preview)". Click on the "Eye" under "BitLocker Recovery Key". This will display the key that you need to give to the user. Have the user enter this key on the "BitLocker recovery" screen. They will be able to log in if entered in correctly.
NOTE: You may need to re-enable BitLocker/change the BitLocker PIN for the user after they are successfully able to get back in.
